| Welcome From THE Chairman |

Welcome to Mine Closure 2010!
When we are planning a new mine, we are expected to consider how it will be closed when its economic resource has been extracted. When we are operating a mine, we are expected to consider and continually update plans for mine closure. When we close a mine, we are expected to leave the site in a safe and secure condition, with an alternative beneficial land use, a well-engineered and well-managed program for any ongoing environmental effects, and a positive community legacy. |
